American Hair Loss Conference 2016

We are settling back into the salon from our whirlwind weekend away in Ft. Lauderdale. The theme for the Annual American Hair Loss Council Conference this year was “Connect” and I have to say it really came together quite beautifully. The conference brings together Hair Replacement Specialist (licensed cosmetologists specialized in hair loss), Expert Wig and Hairpiece vendors, Laser Therapy vendors, Scalp Therapy vendors, Medical Professionals, and Business Professionals to come together with one common goal – to provide support to individuals with hair loss in an atmosphere of respect, confidentiality and privacy with the utmost degree of sensitivity and professional integrity. Here are some highlights from the event and we are more than excited to share our learnings and experience with each client we see 🙂

Dimples ambassador Chelsea shows off their human hair eyebrows and Let Go wig specially designed for women with Alopecia… so natural!!

We simply fell in love with the vibrant red hue of this House of European Hair wig and Gilberto Febles from Gilberto Hair Center in Miami gave us some expert advice on creating a natural front hairline for wig wearing.

Jay Benjamin from New Image Labs helped arm us with the keys to success in understanding the wants and needs of millennials with hair loss.

Hairvisions presented an impressive display of transformational products and services to offer to clients… a clip from the presentation.

Cesare Ragazzi Laboratories took to the stage, sharing tips and techniques for cutting in both men’s and women’s hairpieces.

Bobbi Russell from Hair Therapy for Women showing the application method for the Revive system from Easihair Pro.

Dr. Aheer Malik a Board Certified Dermatologist and Certified Medical Trichologist hair loss expert from England brought us up to date on the current, state-of-the-art thinking, including relevant basic science, breakthroughs and advances in the overall management of hair loss.

This overview should give you some insight into the great education and connectivity that we were fortunate enough to participate in this weekend. Thank you to all the educators, vendors, and comrades for another great year!!

All the particpants were even able to cut loose a little in a congo line at the Latin themed dance party… enjoy and happy hair hunting 😀
