Clips VS Bond

You’ve weighed your options and decided on a hair addition and now the decision point, how do you attach this hairpiece to your natural hair?

Let us help guide you through this process. There are numerous options to make this happen. Let’s see which one is the best fit for your individual situation.

Clips:

  • Can be easily attached to hairpieces, by sewing or taping.
  • Ideal for individuals who want to remove their hair addition at night.
  • It is suggested that you move your clips ever so often to prevent traction alopecia.
  • A viable option for clients with medium to light density hair on the top of the head.
  • Can be used in conjunction with other options for frontal attachment (I.E. Velcro or Tape attachment in the front with clips in the back)
  • It is suggested that you use at least 3 clips on a standard size hairpiece for optimal attachment.
  • Does not require you to shave your head.

Bonding:

  • Can be achieved through a use of Medical adhesives and/or tapes.
  • Ideal for individuals who want to achieve an “attached” feeling (you will be able to sleep, swim, and do other activities while attached).
  • Hairpiece will feel more secure and becomes a part of the individual similar to natural hair.
  • Bonding will have a higher cost and requires servicing appointments every 4-5 weeks to reattach.
  • A viable options for all levels of hair loss (even full scalp).
  • Hairpiece durability will shorten in length of time due to additional wear and tear.
  • Does not require you to shave your head.
